Sounding Board

Do you ever just need a sounding board. Well today has just been one of those day where I really needed a sounding board. Just someone to bounce my troubles off of. Today has been a very difficult day.

I went with my mom to visit a very sweet lady in the nursing home. Tomorrow she will be 97 years old. Wow what an amazing honor for her. She is the sweetest lady. I just lost it while we were visiting her. I started crying and just had to leave the room.

My mom was talking to her and they were talking about my aunt. My aunt use to make the most delicious homemade rolls and she would take them to this lady all the time. Well she made the statement that she just doesn't understand why she stopped.  Well my aunt passed away 4 years ago of a stroke. This very sweet lady just can't remember she was told of her death.  It just  broke my heart that she thought that my aunt no longer wanted anything to do with her.  I like to have never stop crying.

We were eating Lunch yesterday and my son mention my nephew that passed away nearly 10 years now. He was 16 years old when he got killed in a 4 wheeler accident. Well I just lost it again. I had been thinking of him nearly all month long, just never said anything to anyone and when he mention his name I guess I just couldn't hold it in any longer.

So I guess you could say that the last 2 days I have just been very emotional and just needed to have someone to be my sounding board.

I know alot has been bothering me lately and I hope that next year will be a better year for a lot of people, My pray is that everyone will be closer to God and will fully trust in him word.

I hope that everyone has a very blessed last week of 2011. My you be safe in your travels and may 2012 be a blessed year for you and your family.

Chocolate Chip Cookies and Christmas Decor

Well, I guess you can tell that I have been gone for a few days. Like usual the holidays are a very busy time for the Fuller household. All the decorating, cooking, visiting and then add work on top of that, leaves me just drained by the end of the day. I had 2 jewerly partys to go to on top of that but only manage to get to 1.

Tonight my hubby and daughter did some cooking and made Chocolate chip cookies.  They look absolutely delicious. They turned out so good. She did a good job baking them.
Thought I would tease you with a pic.

I have done lots of baking this christmas season. I have loved every minute of it. I have manage to make 8 or 9 batches of pecan brittle, 3 batches of white chocolate fudge, 2 pans of peanut butter fudge. Some peanut butter cookies, crock pot candy and some Marys balls best candy.  My husband made his white almond bark candy and tomorrow I am making oatmeal lace cookies. PHEW, I am tired just reading all of this, hehe. I think I may have gain a few pound in the process to.

This is one thing I love about the holidays is all the baking. I love to bake and I love to bake with the ones that I love. I am not that thrilled this year with decorating tho. Now sure why, but his year I just wasn't in the mood to decorate. I left it mostly up to my kids to do the tree and my hubby did the garland around the front door and I stuck with the decor in the kitchen.

I thought I was thru with all my christmas shopping but I went to wrap my presents for my sister and I figured out I didn't have hers, uuuggghh. I could just scream. I do not want to get back out in that madness again but it looks like I am going to have to.  I know exactly what I want to buy her and the store opens at 7am so I plan on hopefully be there when they open and be back home by 8am and hopefully miss most of the crowd.

I also wanted to show you our  NEW PRECIOUS PUPPY.We have a new golden yellow lab. Her name is Zoey and let me tell you she is a pistol ball. She has mangae to chew a hole in my laundry room wall, chew up 2 of my mops and chew up 7 sponges and 1 ping pong ball. She ripped my daughters shirt and chewed up my sons laptop cable and earphones. The cable cost 85.00 to replace.  Lets to say she loves to Chew.
Here is sweet and mischievous Zoey

That picture was taking when she was 7 weeks old, she is now 10 weeks old and a live wire, lolo.  We love her dearly and spoil her unbelieveable. She already had a christmas stocking.

Sorry for this long post but hope you stuck around to read it all.  I hope that you have finish your shopping and you can now enjoy your family and the rest of the Holiday Season.

Gone In An Instant

I started out this weekend with a very heavy heart. I learn that one of the couples that we go to church with , their granddaughter got killed in a car accident last night. She was only 15 years old. She was such a beautiful young lady. She was a christian so we can rest in knowing that she is with Jesus today.

We are fervently praying for her parents and her grandparents and aunts and uncles. As she was very close to all of them.

I hope that if you have children or just anyone that is close to you that you make sure you take the time to tell them you love them and most of all make sure that they know Jesus Christ.

This beautiful young lady touch so many lives while she was here. She was very active in her youth group at church and went on several mission trips with them.

My prayer today is that all of her family with hold close to all the wonderful memories and cherish them always.

Lose of Pet

The Fuller household has had a rough 2 weeks. We lost our sweet and precious bandit. He was a sweet and precious beagle that was a big part of our family. We all loved his to pieces. As you can see above he was just a little bit spoiled. When a storm come up we would bring him inside and he was go and get on his favorite bed and I would cover him up and he would suck on the edge of his bed.

Everytime I look at his picture I cry. I miss him so much. There will never be another bandit.

I went out to feed his and he wasn't in the back yard. Hubby and I went and called and called for him and he wouldn't come. So I texted my son and told him when he got home to find him. He was my son's dog and Bandit would always come to him when he called him. So when my son got home he went looking for him and found him in  the ditch by our driveway. He had been hit by a car. He lived till the next morning then passed away. I am not sure who cryed more. Hubby, Me or my son or my daughter. He had wove his precious ways and he beautiful self into our hearts. He will never ever be forgotten.

We do plan on getting another puppy but just not right now. I told Mike that I thought that we needed to get 2 puppies instead of 1 that way maybe 1 wouldn't get bored and want to get out.  Our neighbor  beside us has a dog and we figure that Bandit just wanted to go and play with it.  So maybe getting 2 dogs will solve the problem. We also plan to get the invisible fence . We have a wood fence  on our back yard that spans the whole 1/2 acre. But  Bandit still chose to get out . So maybe between the invisible fence and get 2 dogs so they will each have someone to play with, then hopefully it will solve alot of problems. Maybe next time we can hopefully keep the next dog for years.

I hope that your enjoying your pets if you have them. Love them and spoil them. They will give you unconditional love back.

Hope your having a wonderful weekend.

Straight no Chasers

Thursday night my wonderful husband and I went to see Straight no Chaser in concert. They are a awesome group to go see sing. Last year Mike was coming home from work and heard a christmas song on the radio and when he got home he looked it look. It was the neatest song to listen to.

It was the 12 days of christmas sung by Straight no Chasers. They put a twist on the song that is so neat.

So  we found out they were going to be in Nashville thursday night and we got ticket to go see them. They put on an awesome show. We plan on going back  to their concert when they come back.

I hope that you have had a wonderful long weekend.

Trunk or Treat and Pretzels

Tonight is Trunk or Treat at our church tonight. I am not sure that I am going to get to go. I came home sick from work today. So I may have to pass on tonight but I know I will miss it.

I enjoy seeing all the little kids in the costume as they come around to each individual cars and get their candy. They are just to cute.

I did get around to making  the chocolate covered pretzels that I make every year. They go like hotcakes. I do the white chocolate and the milk chocolate and then put halloween sprinkles on them. I never come home with any. Then I usually have to make some for my kids the next

Thougth I would share a pic of how they came out.
I hope that your having a wonderful Thurday. Have a safe and happy Halloween weekend. I know alot of  towns are having their Trunk or Treat this weekend. I hope that you enjoy the weekend and be safe.

Handmade Pumpkins

Well I did get around to posting the pic of the pumpkins that my Mom and I made. These were from a pattern by SweetMeadows Farm. I love her patterns.

One I actually made a little darker than the other one. I wanted it to look aged.  The one with the taller stem I didn't get around to aging it.  I think they turned out so cute. My mom made 2 to and put them with her fall decor.

I hope that your having a wonderful weekend. I woke up sick in the middle of the night. This is beginning to get old I tell you. My meds don't seem to be helping like they use to. I do go back to the specialist in Birmingham in Feb. of next year so I am hoping that he can change them and hopefully I can get to feeling better.  Anyone with IBS the chronic kind , kind of knows what I go thru. You can eat one thing one time and your fine and the next time you may eat it and you get sick. It is just a never ending battle with this.
Well enough about me.  I do hope that your having a  wonderful weekend and that this is the day that your worshiping God.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

What a Beautiful Saturday

I promise no picture overload today. Just wanted to post on my day. It has been a beautiful day here today. I absolutely love fall. All the beautiful color that God grace's our eyes to see. I went to  spend time with my mom today and on my drive there I notice all the beautiful color of the trees and the bushes and the flowers along the way.

Wow they were gorgeous. I didn't have my camera with me so I didn't get to snap any pic but they were so pretty. I had a wonderful day spending time with my mom.

We use to get together and sew all the time. Today we made  pumpkins. They turned out so cute. If I get a chance I  will share a pic of the one I made. I  have another one in the works, but run out of material and paint to finish it so , we made plans to finish it another day.

I hope that your Saturday was a wonderful day. I hope that you take the time to enjoy all the beautiful colors around you and thank God for them.

Have a blessed rest of the weekend.

Bird Watching and Dog Sleeping

I just had to post this picture. Our sweet cat Callie was watching out our back door this morning at the birds. The little sweeties was eating what was left of the dog food that our dog didn't eat. I have a feeling they do that a lot. I hope you can see the birds in the pictures. They were kind of hard to take a picture of cause they kept flying off  every time I came close to the window.

Our dog keeps pulling his dog bowl all over the yard. When I go out to feed him at night I never know where I am going to find it. I have a certain place I put it by his dog house but he has other plans with it,lol.

I also wanted to share our precious dog Bandit picture with you to. Bless his heart he was just worn out ,lolo. I looked out the window and this is what I saw. He was sawing logs, so I just had to get his picture.

I hope your have a wonderful Saturday.

Beautiful Fall Weekend

I hope that you and your family have had a wonderful weekend. My husband and I took a little break this weekend and spend some time just to ourself. It was wonderful. Except I got sick saturday evening and had to spend my time either on the couch or in the bed at our camper. But at least we were together. We had a great weekend and time spent together was awesome.

Not sure if you and your family watch football but while I was sick on the couch it seem that was what was playing on the tv, so we watch several teams play. We love to go camping and so do alot of other people and  alot of other people were also watcing football because they were very loud. Most everyone had their tv's outside and there was 20 to 30 people in a group and they got really loud. Hubby was so sweet and got up and closed our door so that I could sleep.  Looovvee my sweet hubby.

The trees were not turning yet but the weather was just perfect. We did get out and walk and went down to the river and it was just so pretty.

I am home from church tonight, my tummy still isn't feeling up to par, so I thought I had better stick close to home.  I snap some more pic of my fall decor to share with you. I still got to snap some of my scarecrow outside, but hopefully tomorrow I will get around to doing that.

As you can tell I love to decorate for fall. I hope you and your family have a wonderful week.

Beautiful Weekend

What an absolutely gorgeous weekend it has been. I have loved every minute of it. Yesterday my daughter had an all day birthday party to go to and my son was gone with his girlfriend all day. So I spend all day with my wonderful husband. We started our day out with going to home depot. Our plans was to only buy porch paint but we also ended up with some gorgeous mums to. Home depot had a sale going on and their mums were huge and just gorgeous.

I got 6 huge mums and some porch paint and some flowers for my window boxes. We spent our evening finishing painting the porch and planting the window boxes flowers and also doing some triming  of some other flower bushes. My yard look so much better.

Today was a day of worshipping our Lord and Savior. What a wonderful day it had been.  I love the beauty of fall. I can already see the colors of the trees changing here and they are just gorgeous.

I hope that you and your family had a wonderful weekend. I wish this weather would last all year long. It has just been beautiful.

9-11 Never Forget

Tomorrow will be a very hard day for alot of people. It is a day that most people here in the United States and alot of people around the world will never ever forget. I think most everyones lives was touch in some way by 9-11.

I have been watching for the last 2 weeks the tv shows that the history channel has been airing and also some of the other channels.  To see the horror in these peoples faces again and to watch those towers fall is such a undescripable feeling.

I know tomorrow my thougths and prayers will be with all the families that lost love ones that day. Also my thoughts will be with everyone that was there that day at ground zero  and live thru that. May they feel God's peace and love with them. My pray is that each and everyone  affected has turn to God to deal with their hurt and to help with the healing.

May God richly bless each and everyone with a safe and blessed week .

Spring Park and Birthday Party

Summer is just flying by so fast. Where does the time go these days. Our Garden is just about done for the year. I am so pleased with how it turned out this year. We have put up nearly 16 quarts of butter beans and nearly that much in Okra and the Okra is still  making. I love my Okra, so I hope it continues to last for awhile.

(White Duck at the Park)
Yesterday was my neices little girl birthday so we went to her birthday party and it was at a place called Spring park.  It is a beautiful place. It was the first time I had been there, well I had been one time before but the park was closed down that day so we had to change plans that day. But yesterday was a beautiful day and the park was so busy with lots of children playing and enjoying the ducks and the water and the rides.

Swan that lights up at night

Beautiful waterfall

Out in the middle of the lake was the swan I believe that would light up at night time. Just so pretty. They had beautiful waterfalls there. It was just a beautiful place to go, especially with your family.

Here are so pics of the birthday girl . They are just the sweets kids. I just love them to pieces. They had such a good time yesterday. They had a splash pad at the park and they spent a solid hour in it. They loved every minute of it. The birthday girl started school this week and she isn't like it one bit.  My prayer is that she will get us to it and start to make friend and become a fast learner.

School Starts Tomorrow

Well it is back to our normal routine tomorrow. Back to fighting that old school traffic and  watching for kids and helping with homework. I have enjoyed just been able to head to work and not sit behind a bus for 10 minutes trying to get to the school to drop off my daughter.

I know she is looking forward to it. She has missed all her friends and she has gotten bored sitting at home.

I will be thinking about all of the kindergartener and their first day. Some will be crying and some with go right in their class and have no problem at all.

I will also be thinking of the first year freshmen in College. The nerves of beening away from home ,if they moved away or  just the thought of having to figure out what your going to do with the rest of your life.

I hope that whatever your family is facing tomorrow that it goes smoothly and that you start your day off with a pray to God for strength and peace.

Beautiful Summers Day

Today has been a hot but beautiful Sunday. I enjoy church this morning and praising the Lord. Sunday evening are usually low key after church. I usually take a nap or find a good book to read. But today I did a little shoppping and came home and watered my flowers and this sweet little butterfly just kept flying around several of my flowering bushes.

It was just the prettiest yellow color.I love capturing God beautiful little creatures in pictures. As a little girl I use to try and catch them , until I learned that your not suppose to touch a butterfly.

Yesterday we cut our first real picking of the Okra. Yuummmy. I love Okra. I have got to get most of it in the freezer because I have to pick it again tomorrow. EEEgggg.
We also picked tomatoes and our Butter Beans will be ready some time this week to. But I dread picking them, it is suppose to be in the upper 90's all week. Talk about hot. I may wait until nearly dark to pick them and only do one roll a day. I have 4 rolls to pick.

I sure hope that your Sunday has been one that you praised God for his bountiful blessing and I hope that you have a wonderful week this week.

Home From Work Sick and a Little Friend

Well been awhile since I have last updated. I am home sick today so I have to time to just sit and talk abit.

Not glad that I don't feel good but I love beening home and been lazy today. Well not sure you could call it been lazy. I have already done the dishes and  have one load of laundry on and 3 more in the floor to do.  I guess a mom just can't been sick these days and just stay in bed.

We were sitting on our front porch last night and notice our little friend was sitting with us.
He is just to cute. Last year about this time we had one that hung out on our back door and every time I went out he would be just sitting there with those big eye looking at me. Just to cute.

Our garden it doing great. Got a good amount of Okra yesterday and it is blooming tons. I love okra. I am a little upset that my tomatoes didn't do good this year. We do have several tomatoes and every time they get a little red our beagle decides that he needs them more than we do.  He also loves cucumbers and squash to. I have never seen a dog that loves vegetables like our dog. I am going to have to do something about his eating. lolol.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful week and that the weather is a little cooler where you are.

Our Sweet Animals

I just had to share a picture of our sweet dog and our cat. We had a thunderstorm tonight and our beagle was at the back door whining. So I let him in and got his bed out for him to lay on. He was in the kitchen with me while I was making Tea. Well he got to whining loud and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. But everytime it would lighting outside he was get really scared and whine. So I got a blanket and covered him up and he looked so sweet that I just had to snap a pic. I didn't realized just as I snapped a pic our cat came around the corner.  Just to cute. I can't just imagine what was going thru out cats mine, what was she thinking. (Why is that dog covered up), or ( why is he whining), or (what is he doing in here). hehe. We just love our animals, they are so spoiled.
Notice our sweet Cat, Callie in the background.
