Well our beautiful daughter is still sick but is slowly on the mend. We braved the sleet yesterday and made our way to the doctor. She has Strep Throat. Bless her heart, it has really hit her hard. High fever, sore throat, throwing up, UUUGGGH. Hopefully with another day of getting meds in her she will feel better tomorrow.

I have been watching the weather some and boy our neighbors in Nashville TN and Arkansas and North Caroline has been hit hard with this Winter Weather. I pray that everyone without power has made it to a shelter where there is power or your able to stay with family.

Personally I am not a winter person, I am a summer person. I love the 80 and 85 degree weather. Nice warm weather doesn't bother me at all. I am cold natured so I can't stand the cold weather. I want it WARM,lolo. If it is going to snow, I perfer that it snow so much that I have to stay in for a few days and stay in my PJ's and curl up and read a good book.

Tonight it is suppose to get down to 16 degrees. BRRRRRRRR.
I hope that where ever your at tonight that your nice and warm and safe from this bitter cold.

TGIF and one sick little girl

Well I am so glad that it is Friday, as the old saying goes TFIG(Thanks Goodness Its Friday). It has seem like a very long week . Yesterday I got a call from school that my daugher was in the nurses station and that she wasn't feeling good. I immediately went and picked her up. That morning she had told me that her throat was sore and her nose was running. So I gave her some meds and asked her did she want to stay home and she said no she wanted to go to school.

Well needless to say, we ended up back home within 2 hours of school starting. No fever until last night. Very sore throat and just feeling achey all over. Last night was just misable for her. This morning she ended up getting up at 6am , throwing up and with a very high fever. WE have been in the tub to get the fever down and have taking meds and eating jello(yuumm).

So hopefully when the Doctor's office opens up at 9am they will be able to works us in quick. I just can't stand to see my kids sick. They are my life .

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. WE will be nursing our beautiful daughter back to feeling good.

Random Thoughts and Sharing Pics

Have you ever had days where your thoughts are all over the place. Today is just that day for me. My mind is everywhere. I was struck by something that our Sunday school teacher said today about giving of your time to the Lord. The Lord expect each one of us to give of our time to him just as he expect each one of us to give back finanically what he has blessed us with. What we have in this world is not ours but really belongs to God. We are just Stewards of what he has blessed us with. My Goal is to give back to God what he has blessed me with and that is time and so many blessing that us unmeasureable. I hope and pray that you will search your life and give back to God what he has blessed you with. We can give back in so many ways.

We can visit someone that is sick and bring a smile to their face. We can send a card and let someone that is hurting know that we care for them. We can give money to someone that needs it for food or clothing. But most importantly I hope that you give back to God each and every week, what is rightfully his. I know that is something that I have to work on.

I hope that you will opens Gods word this week and let it enrich your lifes and bless you.

New Cellphones Makes for happy Kids

Aww to be so young again. Something as simple as a Cell Phone can make a 11 year old so happy. We started her off with a Pay as you Go phone and that worked out good for awhile. But they are not as cheap as they use to be when my son was younger. It worked out great with upgrading our phone to just add her to our phone plan. So I have one happy 11 year old tonight.

The weather got a little scary for our neighbors in Huntsville. A tornado touch down tonight and I understand that so far that only minor damage has been done and that no one was seriously hurt. Thank Goodness. I do not like Tornados.

Well the stomach bug has hit our house. Hubby came down with it last night and has been sick every since. I happily passed up sleeping in our bed last night and plan on sleeping with our daughter again tonight. I have no desire to get sick. I can't stand the thought of getting the stomach bug.

I hope that all of you are staying well. May God richly bless you as you strife to live your life for him.

Proud of my Beautiful Daughter

I have to brag on my daughter. She has had her first book published. Her 6th grade class teacher, had each student to write a book. The book had to be an event that happen in their live. The teacher sent a form home that she was going to have each book published with a publishing company and that each student would get a free copy and that parents could purchase as many copies as they would like.

The title of our daughers book was " The Day I almost went Bald" I just love it. She did all the pictures herself and wrote every single word herself. I am one proud Mom.

The Day I almost went bald is about the time that my daughter was 4 years old and she was on our treadmill. I was in the bedroom with her but was vacuum. She had long hair at the time and she bent over and her hair got caught in the part of the treadmill that goes under and it pulled a section of her hair out, YES I mean Pulled it right out of her head and then the other part of her hair was caught in another part of the treadmill. She was screaming for dear life . I could not hear her cause I was running the vacuum cleaner, but I finally looked over there and saw her and ran to her. I thougth I would just die when I got to her, My heart just broke cause she was crying so. I will never forget the day, and she will never forget it either.

Nothing New

Well, things are going along just fine this week so far. The weather is a bit warmer, thank goodness. It is still cold but at least our dogs water outside is not freezing the last 2 days. I tell you it was hard having to change out their water ever 5 to 6 hours, but they are our babies and we will gladly do it.

Yesterday our son went and had his Senior pictures made and I can't wait to get them back. Our neighbor has a chevelle that my son just loves. So our neighbor was so kind enough to allow my son to have his senior pictures made with the chevelle. The pictures were taking at an Old State Bank and down by the river side. I just can't wait to see how they turned out. He also had to have a formal picture made so they should turn out wonderful to. I will let you know how they turned out and post a pic when I get them back.

I hope they you have a wonderful week and my God richly bless you.

Little Thieves Ha Ha

O but they are cute little Thieves. I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was look out my window to check own our dogs. It got down to 8 last night and I was worried about them. They both have a doghouse that is built nice and snug. We have a heat lamp and hay and chips in there to keep them warm. Both of them was out playing. It was still snowing outside and it looked so cold. I thought they should be in there nice warm doghouses but I guess they had other ideas.

While I was looking out our window I notice these cute little birds was flocked around the dog's feed bowl and going to town on their feed. (little thieves) I called them. haha. I don't mind, the dogs don't mind sharing either. They usually just sit and watch them eat their feed, lolo. Every winter we usually get a big box of bird feed and feed them thru the winter anyway but I guess the dog food was more appealing to them this morning. It was fun watch them fly away then come back for more.

Just A Dusting Of Snow, But still BRRRRR

Well, we didn't get as much snow as we had hoped. We got just a dusting as you can see.

But none the less my daughter was excited just because it SNOWED. We don't get snow here in Alabama and when we do, you can bet everyone is beside themselves. The schools were closed cause we southern don't drive to good on the snow. And beside who doesn't like to stay home from school on a snowey day and play.

Our Dog Beauty didn' seem to mine the snow at all. I thougth she looks so pretty laying in it. She is solid black, except for just a little touch of white underneath her chin. Even her eyes are nearly black. WE just love her to pieces. We have had her for over 13 years and she is just a wonderful dog.

Tonight it suppose to get down to 8 degrees. I think I will just keep my toes under the covers where it is warm. I don't have to work tomorrow and so I think I will stay in and finish reading my book. I hope where ever you are that you are staying toasty warm.

My you live you life for God and reading his word everyday.

Wednesday Night Church

Good Evening. Just wanted to update you a few minutes and share some pics with you. We had the honor of having our sons girlfiend over for supper before church tonight. Hubby made his delicious pancakes (yes we like breakfast food for supper, every once in awhile). It was a change. I get tired of having the same o same o. We are still looking forward to Snow tomorrrow. Some schools are closed in anticipation of the snow. Can't say that I blame them one bit. I wish and hope that I can stay home tomorrow to. I really do not want to go out if it is even one bit of ice on the road. I am scared to drive in it. So keep your fingers crossed that we get knee deep in snow and can enjoy it for awhile.

Here are the pic I wanted to share. It is of my son and his beautiful girlfriend. They are such a sweet couple.

I have to tell ya, we southerners are not use to this kind of cold. Today it only got in upper 20's and it hurt. I had perfer to stay at home and snuggle up and read a good book but alas ,Work it was. They are calling for Snow on Thursday so I will be sure and post pics if we get any. Believe me it is a big deal for us if we get snow, cause here in the great state of Alabama we NEVER get snow. NEVER. My daughter is really hoping with all her might that it snow cause she really wants to be out of school. haha.

My God Richly Bless you this Week and May you fully live for him

Colorful Socks

Awww what kids will wear these days. Yesterday after church we took our daughter shoe shopping. Well dangling next to the check out counter was these gorgeous colorful socks. She said " Mom Everyone wears them, please can I have a pair" So of course I can't pass that plea up.lolo. I kind of like them myself, that is if I was a few years younger. If I remember right, I think I had a pair kind of like that when I was in middle school. Many moons ago, haha.

O another note,
My son graduates from high school this year and so I got the job of calling around looking for a good photographer to take his senior pics. It about made me cry. I just can't believe that my first baby is that old. Makes me feel old. I remember the day we brought him home from the hospital. He seems so small and hubby and I was scared to death. We had no clue on how to care for a newborn. I really remember when hubby went back to work after been home with me for a week. I was scare out of my wits. I thought what will I do, how will I make it,lolo. Looking back now, how silly. As soon as I get his baby pic uploaded I will share, he was such a chubby baby and to look at him now, he is 6'2 and skinny. haha.

My God Richly bless you this week as you seek to live for him each day.

Happy New Year

Well 2010 is here and I plan to make the most of it. I have mentally planned out in my mind all the things that I plan to change this year. I plan to be more involved in my friends lives and get out and do more with them. I plan to be more active in church. I found in 2009 that I let little things get in the way of doing things that I really knew that needed to be done. I hope that sitting down and making a list of things that I hope to accomplish month by month will help me reach my goal in 2010.

I want to leave you will a bible verse that I get each day in my email. I love it that when I first open my email each day that I have a bible verse waiting for me me.

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
